Engagement

I’m just going to let Hayleigh tell the incredible story of how she and Matt met because there’s no way I can tell it as well as her.

“Michael and I met in early 2014 and worked together in security until November of 2014. I remember the first time I saw him at work, I definitely had a crush on him. I knew there was something so special about him and my crush kept getting deeper. He was so professional and we both didn’t let on that we secretly had feelings for each other. When he took another position with a different company, we decided to go out and celebrate his new job as friends. Soon after that, he asked me on a date and we have been together ever since. We found out that we worked together in the military for four years, in the same unit, and couldn’t remember ever seeing each other. Which seems almost impossible because of how much our shops work together. This is what makes me believe that we were meant to meet when we did, or else we may not be together. God blessed me with Michael when I needed him the most. Michael and his daughter Peyton have truly changed my life for the better, and I couldn’t be more thankful. On February 28th, 2016, mike took me to the ice castles and we weren’t as excited about it as we had hoped, so we left and got the best steak and cheese sandwich ever. I thought it was an awesome day so far! We were driving through the Kangamangus highway and were stopping randomly and taking in the view. We stopped at a landing and decided to go exploring a little. We climbed over a bunch of rocks and found a beautiful waterfall. We sat on top of the waterfall and talked and joked and enjoyed how beautiful of a day it was. I remember thanking God, in my mind, for how truly happy I was in this moment. I looked at Michael and said “today is absolutely perfect”. Mike said “I know how to make this day even more perfect” and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Katelyn, it was something out of a fairytale. He proposed to me on the top of a waterfall, in the middle of the white mountains.”

Yeah. They should probably make a movie based on the love between these two, it’s beyond perfect. <3
