For Katie and Corey, choosing Maine for the location of their wedding was a meaningful and fitting decision. Although they currently live in Florida, both spent time in Maine during their childhood. They were able to host a hometown ceremony in Maine at a private residence on the coast, joined by close friends and family for a beautiful September celebration.
Katie wore a simple gown with flair, and she looked absolutely radiant with her hair and make-up all done-up for the ceremony. She even used fabric from the long train as a shawl to wear for the sunset portraits. This was a beautiful and unique touch!
FIELD Floral Studio designed the flower arrangements and handled day-of coordination. Their florists also created the stunning bouquet that Katie carried. The romantic and whimsical flowers perfectly matched the ambiance of the ceremony, and the seasonal pink and purple dahlias added pops of color against the grays of the coastal scenery.
After a lovely and intimate ceremony, the guests and couple enjoyed food catered by local company Dandelion Catering. Later, they then danced the night away to songs by Pete Kilpatrick.
There was also plenty of extra time for even more portraits by the time sunset came. We were able to take advantage of the low tide and the gorgeous sunset light to stroll out to the beach, where we took some of my all-time favorite sunset photos.Â
Katie and Corey’s wedding was truly a romantic and heartfelt event to mark such a special occasion!
