On a blustery Monday on Mount Desert Island, Caroline + Sam exchanged the sweetest vows during their Bar Harbor Adventure Elopement. Along the trail to their ceremony site, they received many congratulations from hikers and onlookers. However, we were able to snag a little quietness for portraits in the foliage. The ceremony took place on Ship Harbor Trail in Southwest Harbor Maine, just outside of Bar Harbor in a more secluded area.
While their wedding may have been small, Caroline chose to invest in a huge bridal bouquet. This added warmth and color to their wedding portraits. Similarly, I am a huge advocate for splurging on the things that matter to you on your wedding day. For me, it’s gotta be florals. Not only does a bouquet give you something to do with your hands, but it also completely elevates your photos.
Overall, the couple made some brilliant adjustments, like wearing muck boots with their dress clothes instead of fancy shoes. Given we were on a slippery seaside trail in the rain, this was an excellent choice. Comfort over everything, even on a wedding day, I always say.
