This summer Caswell Farm wedding was nothing shy of an authentic Maine barn wedding. Words that come to mind are: intimate, intentional, and romantic. Carly and Shawn currently reside in California and knew nowhere else could compare to the natural breath-taking beauty of Maine for their dream barn wedding- which just so happens to be my specialty. Maine is where I call home, and I take immense pride in utilizing all it has to offer for your vision of the perfect wedding day. 

The Caswell farm provided an idyllic location like none other for their 50 closest friends and family. Shining uniqueness in every corner for an enchanting atmosphere, Carly and Shawn- not your average couple- fell in love with the farm’s captivating similarities to ‘The Shire’- from the dreamy world of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings! Talk about having range in both the venue and the beautiful couple. 

The Perfect Summer Wedding

To describe the full amount of romance, laughter, and joy witnessed throughout the day would be near impossible, but I’ll try my very best to give you just a glimpse: Carly’s gown was so exquisitely made and worn that worship was due from all eyes that came across her. She was thoughtfully complemented by the whimsical floral arrangements created by Clo Floral. Every aspect felt organic. As Carly walked down the aisle- mere moments after reading an excerpt from ‘Throne of Glass’- Shawn was waiting for her with a look of unequivocal adoration in his eyes that told Carly they were about to embark on their very own storybook beginning.

Carly and Shawn chose to celebrate their special day in a way that was true to themselves: honoring their Maine roots, their literary passions, and their vision for the perfect wedding day. July 16th, 2023 was a day that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to join Carly and Shawn in their other-worldly devotion to one another. 

Truthfully all my weddings remind me how much I LOVE what I do. It is why I work so hard to ensure my photography reveals my unique approach towards the ‘in-between moments’ of the wedding day- as the beauty of your wedding does not stop at the altar. My role is to ensure you can look back at the happiness of your wedding day over and over and over again. You deserve it.
