Kayla + John’s East End elopement in Maine was supposed to take place on the steps of City Hall in Portland, but we quickly realized that there wouldn’t be room for us there among the protesters. Thinking on our feet, we drove around Portland and wound up in my old neighborhood, the Eastern Promenade. We asked the officiant to meet us there and walked along the water until we found a spot that felt right for a wedding. The cool thing about eloping is that you can make these last-minute changes and decisions with ease. With runners passing them by, the couple had the sweetest little wedding officiated by Little Robin Ceremonies, and then they headed to the place you absolutely should go for your celebratory dinner in Portland – Scales. YUM.
Check out some other elopements on the blog!
