Mt.Katahdin Engagement Session

When Mallory and I were chatting about her engagement session ideas, she said, “Mt. Katahdin would make a really pretty backdrop” and well, I was sold. We both grew up in the area, and it’s so rare to not only be able to venture to northern Maine, but to be able to photograph a couple there too? Dream come true.

We headed miles and miles (and miles) up the Golden Road in Millinocket to some of the most beautiful and remote locations in Maine, all with the beloved Mt. Katahdin always within our site. Mallory + Ryan spend a lot of time fishing and exploring in this area, so they knew they wanted to come back here for their engagement session.

Location Tips

This Mt.Katahdin engagement session is a prime example of choosing something unique for your shoot. They could have come to visit me in Portland, and don’t get me wrong, it would have been epic, but…THIS was special to them. This is a place they’ll return to time and time again, not to mention their wedding will take place at the New England Outdoor Center nearby, bringing even more meaning to this adventure.

I am so excited for these two and their fall wedding in northern Maine at NEOC, where we’ll find Mt. Katahdin as our backdrop once again. Maine, you are so beautiful, and we are all so lucky to experience all you have to offer in nature, especially on such an important day.
