Which collection is best for us?
Most couples choose 8 hours of coverage. It's often enough to cover everything from the couple getting ready through the important reception formalities and a bit of the fun dancing at the end.
How do I book you?
The first step is to get in touch with me! When you contact me, I'll send over an in-depth pricing guide for you to go over and learn more about the process. After we pick the best collection for your needs, I'll send over the boring stuff- contract, invoice, etc. Then we can get started planning your super fun engagement session and your WEDDING DAY!
Do you charge any fees for travel or other reasons?
I do not charge travel fees for New England weddings within 3 hours of my home in Buxton. After that, it's case by case basis. Sales tax is applied to collections for Maine residents.
Do you have liability insurance?
I sure do! If your venue requires a certificate, I would be happy to provide it.
What are engagement sessions all about?
Engagement sessions are little laidback adventures. The most important part of engagement sessions is getting to know me before your big day so that your wedding photos will be relaxed and fun! We will often go somewhere that requires a bit of walking along the coast or hiking through the forest. It's all about what you want your photos to convey, and it's my job to find the perfect location for that. I'm also always game for wandering a city or having your engagement session in your home. There's no need to be nervous because I always give direction and encouragement. It's a lot of fun and honestly really easy! Engagement photos are something you won't regret having to look back on, promise.
When and how do we receive our photos? How many will we get?
Engagement photos are delivered within one month through an online gallery. About 75-125 images are expected from these sessions.
Wedding photos are delivered within six weeks through an online gallery and USB depending on collection choice. I find that I deliver around 75-100 images per hour of shooting.
Should we do a "first look"?
While the decision is completely up to you, I highly recommend these sweet moments. First looks take place apart from your wedding guests and wedding party and allow the two of you some quiet time together before your ceremony. Nervousness goes away immediately when you get to see your love before you walk down the aisle. If time allows, you can get family and wedding party photos taken before the ceremony, allowing you more time for portraits with your significant other, and giving you more time to get back to cocktail hour with your guests.
Do you offer videography?
No, not yet! I would be happy to provide you with a list of amazing vendors I love working with upon booking, though!
What is your cancellation policy?
If the wedding is rescheduled to a date I'm open, I am still yours. If the wedding is cancelled or there is a breach of contract by the client, I keep the non-refundable retainer fee.
What if something happens that prevents you from photographing our wedding?
I've never missed a wedding. Let's hope it stays that way! But if there's a real emergency or "act of nature" that prevents me from making it, I have a handful of photographers I know personally that I can turn to. I also have a much larger network of local photogs who would love to take my place. In the worst-case scenario, you would get a full refund for your photography collection. If thinking about this situation keeps you up at night, it might be a great idea to book a second shooter with me!
