This Josias River Farm Bridal shoot was absolutely dreamy, and a joy to collaborate on. We couldn’t have pulled it off without our amazing team of vendors, but I’ll leave you with a note from Kara Patten, who was the creative visionary behind this shoot, and who describes this inspiration shoot exactly the right way:

“The moment you step foot on Josias River Farm, you are transcended. You can feel yourself slow down. Tucked away in the heart of Cape Neddick, all you can hear is the river in the background and surrounding trees bending to the breeze. It embodies summer. I’ve spent many days in the barn at Josias River Farm, but when I went to check out the location again with a shoot in mind – I couldn’t stop staring at the sliding barn doors that overlooked the property. The outside trying to get into the barn any way it can – using the breeze, aromas, and overwhelming color.

It was then that I got the idea to welcome it. Bring the outside in to the beautiful barn so they can finally play. I wanted our Josias River Farm Bridal session to feel like summer had come alive. In New England, summer takes a long time to arrive and when she does – she beams. I wanted the florals and tablescape to look like it was infused with it’s magic. It was growing and taking over. Flowers were raining, spreading, and flowing everywhere.”
