Wedding Album

There’s just something special about being able to physically hold some of the most important memories of your life with a wedding album. These books and prints are keepsakes for you to share with your loved ones forever. There may be a day when we no longer look at computer screens and a new technology appears. Are you going to transfer your photos over to that new service? Probably not. A wedding album is something you will look at over and over and share with relatives and friends. It will be so accessible that you can pull it out on anniversaries and snuggle on your couch and flip through the pages. You can bring it with you to show relatives that live away, and you can show it to your children as they grow, so they have a visual of a love story that isn’t Disney, but real life. Then, they can show it to their children; your grandchildren. Albums are timeless in that way.

The Cost Of Wedding Albums

Many couples don’t think about albums until after their wedding, and then realize that albums are pretty expensive and choose not to get one. Let me tell you though, it’ll be the best money you spend. Albums don’t need to be ordered as soon as the wedding is over. Most couples order albums a year or more after their wedding day when they’ve had time to save up for a good quality book. I allow albums to be ordered at any point after your wedding so there is no rush. Your first anniversary is the paper anniversary, so it only makes sense to order your album then!

Photographs Are Meant To Be Experienced

Have you ever sat at your parents’ house sifting through boxes of old photos? Discovering moments that you’ve forgotten, feeling the paper as you carefully peel apart those two photos that were stuck together, revealing a new memory. When you buy an album, you’re giving that experience to your children. Instead of staring at a screen, they’ll be able to look at the images in their true form, in any order they want, and taking as much time as they need. They’ll be able to analyze the scene, check out the cool vintage fashions, and you’ll be there with them, retelling the story of your love, and reliving your wedding adventure.

Culling Your Gallery

My job, and favorite part, of your wedding day, is capturing all of the moments. Sometimes this can lead to a gallery of 750+ images. How many times are you going to go through that whole gallery? While I encourage you to look through your entire day, again and again, the reality is that it’s a lot of photos to go through.  An album nicely summarizes your wedding day in a way that still tells your story and highlights all of the important parts. You’ll look at your images a lot more if they’re in a small book on your coffee table, rather than scrolling through hundreds on a screen to find that one photo you’re looking for.

My Assistance

It’s my hope that at this point you’re considering an album. I know it’s a big purchase and it can be overwhelming to decide on which images to use, but I will walk you through everything! We will make favorites lists, draft your pages, and choose a cover material that matches your home decor and the feel of your wedding day. We’ll choose the best photos to tell your day in story form and make sure all of the important details are included. This should be a fun process of creating an heirloom for your future family. Consider it an extension of your wedding photography experience with me, and let’s create another way to relive your wedding day for the rest of your days.
