For people that are eloping, finding a perfect wedding dress can be such a fun way to personalize such an intimate day and really express their personality. Today, I’m sharing a list of my favorite unique elopement dresses for your big day. There is a lot that goes into finding THE ONE. From the fit, price, and sometimes family approval, this can be an overwhelming experience. Being a wedding photographer, I have seen my fair share of wedding dresses and I can assure you, every single one of my brides looked stunning. My personal taste leans more towards alternative and unique dress styles that are often not so traditional. I have compiled a list of some of my favorite looks and designers throughout the year.

Rue De Seine

This brand is all about modern bohemian bridal and that style reflects perfectly with this dress. From the lace sleeves to the crochet detail, this designer will help you live out your boho wedding dreams!

Rime Arodaky

This is the place for edgy and alternative wedding dress looks. This designer is not afraid of a dramatic sleeve or long skirt slits so if you are looking to go bold, this might be a good fit!

Lovers Society

If you are looking for unique dresses, check out Lovers Society. They specialize in working with a large collection of lace styles, like the one in this wedding I shot!

BHLDN

A reasonably priced bridal sister company to Anthropologie, BHLDN is a solid option for brides looking for alternative dress styles. Take this brides vintage inspired dress with delicate beating and a nude toned slip.

Grace Loves Lace

Grace Loves Lace is popular among brides that are looking for open back wedding dresses. With a large selection of boho inspired dresses, a dress from here would be a sure hit.

Willowby

A subset of the Watters company, Willowby boasts unique dresses and is very size inclusive. This dress from a wedding I shot in 2019 featured a stunning plunging neckline and a flowing tulle skirt.

Needle + Thread

While this company doesn’t have a specific wedding gown category, these whimsical dresses are perfect for elopements or courthouse weddings for brides that aren’t afraid to break the mold without breaking the bank.

Claire La Faye
