Why Photo Albums?

I believe you should have your memories kept in a beautiful place that will be accessible for generations and wedding photo albums are no different. There’s just something superior about physically holding some of the most important memories of your life. Albums and prints are keepsakes for you to share with your loved ones forever. There may be a day when we no longer look at computer screens and a new technology appears. Are you going to transfer your photos over to that new service? Probably not.

Have you ever sat at your parents’ house sifting through boxes of old photos? Discovering moments that you’ve forgotten, feeling the paper as you carefully peel apart those two photos that were stuck together, revealing a new memory.

Magic Moments

When you buy an album, you’re giving that experience to your children. Instead of staring at a screen, they’ll be able to look at the images in their true form, in any order they want, and taking as much time as they need. They’ll be able to analyze the moments from long ago, check out the cool vintage fashions, and you’ll be there with them. Retelling the story of your love, and reliving your wedding adventure.

An album will be so accessible that you can pull it out on anniversaries and snuggle on your couch and flip through the pages. You can bring it with you to show relatives that live away, and you can show it to your children as they grow. Then they can show it to their children; your grandchildren. Albums are timeless in that way.

Highlight Reel

My job, and favorite part, of your wedding day, is capturing all of the moments. Sometimes this can lead to a gallery of 750+ images. How many times are you going to go through that whole gallery? While I encourage you to look through your entire day, again and again, the reality is that it’s a lot of photos to go through.

An album nicely summarizes your wedding day in a way that still tells your story and highlights all of the important parts. You’ll look at your images a lot more if they’re in a small book on your coffee table, rather than scrolling through hundreds on a screen to find that one photo you’re looking for. Because let’s be honest, you won’t do that too many times before you don’t bring up the images at all.

Investment

I know albums are a big purchase and it can be overwhelming to decide on which images to use, but I walk my couples through everything! First, we will make favorites lists, draft your pages, and choose a cover material that matches your home decor and the feel of your wedding day. Next, we’ll choose the best photos to tell your day in story form and make sure all of the important details are included. This should be a fun process of creating an heirloom for your future family. Finally, consider it an extension of your wedding photography experience with me. Let’s create another way to relive your wedding day for the rest of your days.

In Conclusion

Your wedding photos weren’t made to be viewed on a screen. It’s doing a disservice to your images and your memories to file them away on a hard drive. I offer top-quality heirloom wedding albums and gorgeous fine art print options to my couples. In addition, I walk you through how to make the best choice for your home and your lifestyle. When you create a wedding album, you’re creating your first family heirloom to pass on from one generation to the next. Interested in your own album?
